The calendar plan and scripts were very helpful. Especially the marketing and activity plan. Now I know I can go forward with confidence.

Principal/Career Development Coach

I’ve been helping people with their careers and job searches for over ten years. The best part has always been working with students! After beginning my own career in advertising and marketing (following a stab at making it in the music business, much to the chagrin of my parents…but that’s another story), I worked as a national advertising manager and directed agency account teams on national brands with big budgets. As exciting as that was, my greatest satisfaction came from helping my team members with their own career paths, which led me to my present career in recruiting, staffing, and career coaching. I’ve earned a credential from the National Career Development Association and served as president of the Kansas City chapter of the Association of Career Professionals International. I have recruited, screened, and placed hundreds of individuals in jobs, coached hundreds more in their job searches, and made dozens of presentations to young professionals on their career development. And now I want to teach you what I know, along with Lisa, to help you get happily employed!

Principal/Job Search Advocate

I started my career in commercial photography and sped along into various fields of advertising including art buying and copywriting at Valentine Radford. As a creative recruiter at LandaJob Advertising and Marketing Talent I presented fabulous and arty candidates to prospective employers for consideration and managed all aspects of placement. For five years I was the in-house agency recruiter at Barkley, the largest employee-owned ad agency in the US, and was responsible for screening and managing all areas of agency new and existing hires. I have been in the employment field since 2001 and have learned the critical aspects of what gets someone hired as well as what doesn’t. I’ve followed the hiring trends and tools from the early days of to the current social networking methods and am an enthusiastic believer in personal brands.
